Back to Buenos Aires …
After what was a really great trip to Iguazu Falls we arrived back in Buenos Aires around 10pm and went straight to our hotel. It was nice to be in a proper bed again.
We had a final week in Argentina before moving on to Rio de Janeiro and we planned on relaxing and spending more time sightseeing.
We walked to Florida, a shopping area which has lots of shops and restaurants and holds a market every weekend in the San Telmo district, so we spent Sunday wandering around looking at all the stalls and looking in the hundreds of antique shops.
There was loads of art work, clothes, maté paraphernalia and second hand goods. There are always performers up and down the street, singing and dancing and it made for some really enjoyable days.
We spent most of the week walking around the city and exploring. We went to the Florida area many times, and discovered they also have a night market where we watched Tango dancers. There really is something new every day.
On our last night we went back to San Telmo for dinner and also to see a Tango show. The dancers were really good, and even posed for pictures with us.
We really enjoyed our time in Buenos Aires; it is a really vibrant city, teeming with life and with something new and exciting happening every day. You can walk down the same street 5 times and there will always be something different.
Next stop Rio … Mientras Buenos Aires y Argentina, fue muy divertido
